Landing at PMT is the Pearl Stavecraft 14" x 5" Thai Oak Snare Drum in Satin Natural. Delivering a sharp snare for the harder hitting drummer. Injecting an accurate attack with a punchy tone.
The 25mm shell is made from carefully beveled solid Thai Oak wood staves. An additional stave of exotic Mahaka is inserted into the centre Dado channel formed by each stave. This increases the strength of the shell by 50%, called a "Dado-Loc" joint.
The shell is then lathed to a exacting 25mm thickness. It's then lacquered by hand, and then the Swivel Tube Lugs and MasterCast die-cast counter hoops are added.

Ultra-Sound 20-Strand Snares
The even-tension uncoated snare wires offer a balanced tone that vibrates throughout the whole of the shell.
STL Swivel Tube Lugs
With a low-contact fitting the STL Swivel Tube Lugs allow accurate and simple tuning of the Pearl Stavecraft 14" x 5" Makha Snare Drum.
Click-Lock Snare Strainer
The shell has a SR150 Click-Lock Snare Strainer which is solid and strudy, keeping the snare wire firm even when the tension is very low.
