Adding to Orange Amplification’s already stellar line-up of pedals comes the Kongpressor. Drawing inspiration from the world’s most iconic vintage optical studio compressions, the Orange Kongpressor adds a brilliant three-dimensional quality to any rig.

Analog Compression

An analogue Class A compressor; the Orange Kongpressor has a beautifully natural sound. Delivering an extremely satisfying, springy playing response with adjustable attack and release times – the Kongpressor is sure to impress both audience and performer alike.

As with all pedals from Orange, the Kongpressor has the ability to internally double its operating voltage to 18V. This gives you hugely increased headroom resulting in squeaky clean compression.

Even pushed to the most extreme settings, where ordinary compressions begin to lose their soul, the Kongpressor retains a beautiful musical tone and it feels great under the fingers.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re new to compressor or a veteran user; it’s simply impossible to get a bad sound out of the Orange Kongpressor.

Control the Kong

On the face of the Kongpressor you’ll find a number of controls so you can tame the beast. First you’ll find the highly stompable footswitch to activate and deactivate the sound (with a light for visual indication of activation), then there’s a series of controls for each facet of your sound.

Individual Attack and Release knobs allow you to increase or decrease the speed at which the compression effects your sound and releases it.

Chime allows you to adjust the level of treble in your tone, turn it up if you want that extra-crispy sparkle on tour sound. You can even use this as a clean or treble boost for lead lines that will slice through the mix of your band while providing some gorgeously full-bodied, singing sustain.

A Squash knob allows you to increase and decrease the intensity of the compression effect and lastly there is a simple volume knob that does exactly what you’d expect.

All of these controls are protected by a hardy metal stopbar so you don’t have to worry about how enthusiastic your performance is – just stomp away, care free.

King Kongpressor Takes London

An ultra-linear buffered bypass means the Kongpressor maintains your tonal integrity and harmonic content when it is switched off meaning you have the purest tones possible until you want to stomp the Kongpressor into action.

As a nod to Orange Amplification’s British roots, the Orange Kongpressor features striking artwork depicting the fist of Kong grasping a lady with London landmarks as the back drop.
