Founded in London during 1968, Orange Music Electronic Company (or simply "Orange) have been a favourite for rock musicians the world over for the majority of that time since, often being used by musical giants such as Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, RUSH, ZZ Top and many more. The Orange Crush 20RT lives up to the legacy of it's forebears and (despite it's diminutive size and price) does so in style.

An Uncompromising Amp with Lots of Warmth, Volume & Tone

The solid state Orange Crush 20RT is closely related to the more stripped down Orange Crush 20, but features a few extra's such as a lovely onboard reverb and an integrated chromatic tuner. It also comes complete with footswitchable Clean and Dirty channels, and a new high-gain, 4-stage preamp design, for a huge palette of overdriven and distorted sounds that are rich in harmonic overtones.

Despite housing "only" 20-watts of power and an 8" "Voice of the world" speaker, the Orange Crush 20RT packs a hell of a punch. The almost valve-like sound emanating from this little wonder is perfect for home practice, recording and even small gigs! Complete with Aux input for backing tracks and a CabSim-loaded headphone output, the Crush 20RT makes for the perfect portable practice amp combo, combining usable features with that legendary Orange tone and buckets of classic Orange magic.

All Analogue Signal Path

Finding a modern amplifier with analogue amplifier circuitry as opposed to digital in this day and age is most certainly a breath of fresh air, but then to dismiss the lively feel and responsiveness that Orange is famous for (as would happen should they ever go digital) would be a nigh on criminal act. These All Analogue Signal Paths present in Orange amps ensure that the guitarist plays their instrument and NOT an array of effects, helped in part by the highly effective 3-band EQ housed in the Orange Crush 20RT.

Twin Channel, High Gain Preamp Design

The highly detailed gain controls leave you with an awful amount of room to work with for such a small amplifier. The high-gain preamp also provides you with a vast array of tones to tweak and work with, letting you find the perfect voice for what you want to play with the twiddle of a control knob. You get an exceptional level of clarity and a nice rich tone, courtest of the high-quality, low noise components providing the four stages of gain, letting you choose between nice bright clean tones, a warm tube bluesy crunch, and a full-on, dirty as you like, "let's scare the vicar" distortion that even the most purist Black Metal musician would raise an acknowledging eyebrow at. The clean and dirty channels can be switched on at the amp's top panel, or remotely via the optional footswitch.

Cabinet Simulation

As part of the headphone/line output, Orange have included a new CabSim feature on the Orange Crush 20RT. This feature can accurately emulate the sound of a mic'd up Orange 4x12" cabinet loaded with Voice of The World speakers. You can utilise the headphone socket for one of those quiet 4am jam sessions (when you can't sleep and decide to rock out to Astro Creep 2000 but don't want to wake the neighbours up) or can be used to connect you to a recording console, allowing you to capture huge, authentic Orange tones in the studio.

Reverb & Integrated Chromatic Tuner

The reverb housed in the Crush RT models is an all-new digital module based on the classic "spring" type reverb units, adding a warm 3D spaciousness to your sound. The controls allow you to set the reverb at anything from a subtle shimmer to lengthy ethereal trails and the circuit features an analogue 'dry through', making sure that your guitar's tone remains intact and isn't lost within the effect. There's also an integrated Chromatic Tuner which can come in handy for a quick tune up in between songs.

Voice of the World Speaker

These custom designed speakers have been developed to maintain tonal clarity with a perfect balance of modern low-end punch and vintage highs.
