Presented with a revised design to power a 1-inch tweeter and 5.25-inch woofer, the KH 120 II Studio Monitor delivers an exceptional sound that exceeds any previous models. Making it perfect for both mixing and mastering in any pre-existing studio setups.
Key Features:
Consistent Response - Neumann's primary objective in designing studio monitors and headphones has always been precision. The KH 120-II is a prime example of this, as it delivers an exceptionally consistent frequency response across a broad range, from 44 Hz to 21 kHz, with a maximum deviation of only ±3 dB. Additionally, the monitors have a linear phase response, ensuring exceptional clarity by preventing smearing. The integration of Class D amplification, along with this, leads to highly efficient performance, resulting in minimal total harmonic distortion, even at maximum volume.
Room Correction DSP - Besides the advancements made to the drivers and amplification of the KH 120 monitors, the latest version is also equipped with DSP that allows for integration with Neumann's MA 1 Monitor Alignment System. This feature aids in optimizing the speaker's linear frequency response by allowing you to customize its settings to suit your room, resulting in reduced interference from unwanted resonances and standing waves while you mix or master.
Efficient Design - The updated Class D amplifier in these studio monitors has been optimized for enhanced efficiency to conserve energy when not actively in use. Although it usually supplies 100 watts of power to the tweeter and 145 watts to the woofer, it consumes just 17 watts when idle. Additionally, in its automatic standby mode, it consumes only a modest 0.3 watts. This feature is particularly advantageous for home studios focused on energy efficiency, as the KH 120-II provides excellent power as needed.
AES67 Audio Network Ports - In addition, the KH 150 AES67 model variation provides built-in redundant AES67 audio network ports that fully adhere to broadcast standards like ST 2110, ST 2022-7 redundancy, and RAVENNA. Moreover, the KH 150 AES67 is also compatible with AES67 network streams generated by DANTE.
