Who Is John Petrucci?
Composer and producer John Petrucci is best known for his work with progressive metal outfit Dream Theatre, and is widely regarded as one of the best guitar players of the genre.
Petrucci has a long-standing relationship with Ernie Ball Music Man guitars, with his signature models being amongst the company's most popular guitars to date.
Built To Perform
Despite the relatively large number of signature guitars that John Petrucci has had with Music Man over the years, they all have a few things in common - especially when it comes to playability - and that's definitely the case here.
Not only is the neck on this guitar profiled and carved to allow fast and easy access to each and every note on the fingerboard, but the Roasting process makes both the neck and fingerboard super-smooth - your fingers will simply glide over each and every note.
Custom-Voiced Pickups
These DiMarzio Illuminator humbuckers were designed specifically for use with John Petrucci's signature Music Man guitars. Featuring the kind of versatility you'd expect, these pickups can take you from bright cleans to searing leads and back again with ease.
Add into the mix a 20dB gain boost built into the Volume pot (push/push activation) as well as an Active/Passive switch in the Tone pot (also push/push), and you have plenty of tonal options to wet your whistle.
But wait, there's more... Fitted into the John Petrucci custom floating tremolo there's also Fishman Powerbridge Piezo saddles, allowing you to acoustic-like sounds to your playing, if you wish.
