Designed To Perform, Engineered To Perfection

The Ball Family Reserve (BFR) collection was created by Music Man to celebrate their heritage in instrument craftsmanship, and features guitars and basses made from some of the finest figured tone woods and finishes available.

These ultra-rare guitars are available as part of limited production runs, allowing members of the public the chance at owning models previously reserved for Music Man artists and family members.

Premium Construction

For the body on this guitar Music Man has opted to use Okoume - a tonewood renowned for its naturally warm and rich nature. The body is carved with comfort in mind, and the dual-cutaway design offers easy access to each of the guitar's upper frets.

Bolted on to the body you'll find a slick Roasted Maple neck and Ebony fingerboard, which has been specially constructed to allow your fingers to liberally glide over each and every note.

Bringing the whole thing together is a set of Schaller Locking tuning machines, and a Music Man Modern Tremolo bridge, letting you perform pitch bends that range from subtle to extreme with ease.

Custom-Wound Pickups

Powering the voice on this awesome guitar you'll find a pair of Music Man Custom Wound humbucker pickups, sitting at the neck and bridge positions respectively.

These pickups are specially-designed to work perfectly with the tonewoods on this guitar to deliver that classic '70s StingRay guitar tone that's perfect for use with high-gain drive, but clean up excellently too.

In addition to this, the electronics on the guitar allow you to hear a real nuanced variation in sound whenever you adjust the controls.
