The Meinl Classics Custom Dark Cymbal Box Set with Free 18" Crash is a high-quality cymbal set from Meinl, including Classics Custom 14"Q Dark Hi-Hats, 16" Dark Crash Cymbal, a 20" Dark Ride Cymbal and a free 18" Dark Crash Cymbal. Designed to cut above the roar of guitars, these cymbals do most of the work for you, so you don't have to play as hard to be heard. You can dig in and groove with great stick response on the rides and hats while the crashes deliver powerful accents.
The cymbals deliver dark, complex tones with crisp clarity, powerful cut, and volume that the regular Classics Custom series is known for. The unique appearance of the cymbals is due to the widely spaced deep hammering and additional lathing that rounds out the tonal quality, giving them a warmer mix of sound and a powerfully explosive response.
Hi-Hats
The Meinl Custom Dark Hi-Hats performed exceptionally well under the strain of heavier styles with an aggressive/powerful open wash and defined chick that's tight when closed for faster sticking that needs to be heard. they are medium weight both top and bottom which makes them accessible for a range of styles not just heavy, they would be right at home in a function band for example.

This set of Meinls suits their attire boasting powerful dark tones that have a full spread that cuts with an aggressive explosive attack, meaning they will cut through anything you put them up against.
