Crafting the Martin 00-18

A fantastic combination of top quality woods and excellent Martin craftsmanship has produced this beautiful looking and sounding Grand Concert acoustic guitar.

The number one top wood for Martian guitars due to its rich and vibrant tone, Spruce is used for the top of the Martin 00-18.

A much lighter weight wood than the likes of Rosewood, Koa or Maple, genuine Mahogany has been used for the back and side. This choice of wood adds volume to the Martin 00-18’s performance with pronounced trebles that are clear, bright and airy.

Highly Playable Neck

Joining the body at the 14th fret is an extremely comfortable low modified oval shaped neck.

It has a super smooth satin finish and a high performance taper making it extremely easy to play as fast as you’d like.

Atop the neck is an Ebony fretboard forgiving you an excellent fingering platform with20 frets total.

Adding to the incredible performance and comfortable feeling, the Martin 00-18 has been treated to a Plek fret dressing.

Using computerised precision tools, each fret and the nut has been cut and smoothed for perfect balance and optimal performance.

Adorning the fretboard are Abalone inlays in the eye-catching 18 Old Style for that classic and stylish aesthetic.

Premium Hardware

On the body of the Martin 00-18 is an Ebony bridge offering fantastic transfer of vibration from your strings to the resonating solid Spruce top.

A compensated bone saddle aboard the bridge ensures precise intonation while adding its unique and natural character to your tone.

Up on the headstock, you’ll find nickel Grover open-gear tuning machines with butterbean knobs, offering incredible tuning precision and stability along with vintage good looks.
