SONIClear Bearing Edge allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. The result is a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, effortless and consistent tuning, and a significantly expanded tuning range.
The SONIClear tom suspension increases overall resonance by preserving vibration in the shell and keeping stress away from the tension rods, helping the heads stay in tune.

In Use

This Rock shell pack has everything you need, quick powerful rack toms and a floor tom thats thunderous, because of the shallower 14" depth on the floor tom you can easily get the deep tone but, with a faster decay and attack.

The 10" through to the 16" have a fantastic high to low decending tonal range.

Snares Up

A snappy crack of a 14" x 6.5" snare drum comes with the kit, a classic rock kit sizing but is very versatile, with smooth ghost notes and ear crunching rimshots.

The rounded Baring edge makes tuning easy and a lot more stable than a sharper baring and because of the skin being in close contact with the shell, the tones are a lot rounder and more powerful than most kits at this price range.

As well as great tone the shells have a lot of attack as you would expect from the slightly shallower depth of the rack toms.

Boom Boom

With being 18" in depth the bass drum is more like a cannon, Typically the depths are 14"-16" but Mapex adding the extra 2" may start the trend of deeper kicks coming back. you don't lose any articulation and doubles cut right through the guitars with ease, this is sure to do with the European Maple and the fantastic Soniclear bearing edge. A bit of a tip, don't cut a hole in the front, Crank the reso and have your batter side just past finger tight, play off the head and you will have masses amount of tone!
