Laney LA30BL Black Country Custom - 30 Watt, All-Valve Amplifier Head for Guitar

Laney's Black Country Custom range is the culmination and celebration of more than 50 years worth of metal-tone heritage, from Black Sabbath to Killswitch Engage and beyond - in fact it's well known that Tony Iommi was helped in the development of his signature Black Sabbath guitar sound thanks to his Laney LA100BL amp head!

Legendary British Rock Sound

During 1968, Lyndon Laney toyed with the idea of utilising the preamp circuit from the renowned LA100BL into a smaller amplifier, and thus the first 30 Watt prototype was born! Unfortunately, nobody wanted a 30 Watt amplifier at that time as it would have been too quiet to gig with.

It wasn't until more modern times, where PA systems have been improved to the point that most instruments are DI'd through them, that smaller amps are becoming more prominent, even in the largest of venues. And so, now the time is right, and Laney have finally gotten to release the LA30BL - their Black Country Custom, 30 Watt all-valve amplifier head!

Built Upon Success

Featuring same same preamp circuit as the LA100BL, the Laney LA30BL Black Country Custom uses a twin EL34 Class AB output stage that runs at 30 Watts RMS. This amp makes a great pedal platform, and is ideally suited to front-end gain stacking.

A Match Made in Heaven

When partnered with the matching slant-front LA212, 2 x 12" Speaker cabinet, this amp delivers an incredible tone that's easily greater than the sum of its parts, and that is suitable for pretty much any style of music.
