Reawaken The Depths Below

“Releasing the harpoon from his grasp, Queequeg gazed into the depths of the bleak waters that stretched down endlessly beneath him. Mindful of the aim of his adversary, the giant whale plunged further and further into the darkness of the abyss. This subaqueous dominion would forever be his rightful place. QUEEQUEG 2 - look deep down and believe.”

KMA Machines released the original QUEEQUEG in 2016. The pedal was Their take on how simple and effective an analog monophonic suboctave device could be.

Time doesn’t stand still and so with QUEEQUEG 2, KMA’s aim was not only to update the device with a more striking appearance but also to add an additional sub-octave and the ability to switch and mix between them. With a small footprint, the updated pedal also has top-mounted jacks and relay-based soft switching for the modern age. QUEEQUEG 2’s super, easy-to-use, and ultra-fast tracking sub-octave works equally well on guitar, bass, and synth, so these classic earth-shakingly awesome tones can find their way to any setup out there.

Getting Deep

This little beast will thicken up your tone, and blast gut-pumping bass-synth resonances that could be used to fill in any missing bass sounds, and that's just flirting with the QueeQueg 2.

A huge benefit is that the pedal uses KMA's custom all-analog circuit design, meaning tones are lovely and organic, smooth, warm, subby, and with clarity.

Operation is super simple, this tonally deep abyss vehicle offers three sub-octave settings to choose from. You can turn your guitar into a rather naughty dirty bass that shakes the very ground, also adding extra depth to bass and mono synths!
The toggle switch lets you select between either the first octave (-I), and the second (-II), or mix both (-I/-II) which gives you a thunderously massive wall of sound, it even changes colour depending on the mode.

The knob control has a nice smooth action that you can dial in your specific blend of octaves and clean tones, from clean as a whistle to the left and down right dirty sonic beast bass to the right, with absolutely everything else in between.

This all-analog thundering sub-sonic power lord of a pedal brings out the low ends you are hunting for but instead of them going missing they are brought forward and hit you in all the right places.
