Building the JS22 DKA
Poplar has been used for the body of the JS22, with its characteristic light weight making for a comfortable guitar that’s easy to carry.
The double cutaway design of the Jackson Dinky style body gives you easy access to all 24 frets, which is great for performing guitar solos.
The bolt-on Maple neck boasts graphite reinforcement and a scarf joint, making for an ultra-secure neck that is resistant to warping.
Plus, with its angled back headstock naturally increasing tension behind the nut, there’s no need for string trees or a retainer bar.
What’s more, with the neck bolted on to the body, you get improved attack and sustain along with increased control.
One great feature that Jackson have pioneered is the compound radius fretboard. On the Dinky JS22 DKA, you have an Amaranth fretboard with a 12” – 16” compound radius.
This gives you a more rounded profile at the nut which is great for comfortable chording. The fretboard then flattens out towards the neck heel which is ideal for lead playing and allows for easy performance of deep, low-action bends.
High Output Humbucking Pickups
Giving this Jackson guitar classic Jackson tone is a set of two Jackson High Output Humbuckers.
These ceramic magnet-based humbucking pickups give you beautifully clear tone with all the girth you need for chugging guitar riffs or slick lead performance.
There’s a three-way pickup selector on hand so you can choose between using either pickup or both at once.
You can further shape your sound quickly and easily with the Master Volume and Master Tone knobs.
High Quality Black Hardware
Adding to the fantastic looks of this beautiful Jackson electric guitar, the JS22 DKA features all black hardware – even down to the strap buttons!
Sealed die-cast tuning machines can be found on the headstock, providing secure tuning of your strings.
A 2-point fulcrum tremolo bridge has been installed on the body, giving you precise intonation and great sustain while allowing for expressive whammy-bar action.
