Former Quiet Riot and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads had his first modied V built by renowned luthier Karl Sandoval, and before long turned to Jackson with the design of the now-famous "Concorde" prototypes.
These prototypes were then further refined into the guitar we know and love today, and subsequent to Rhoads' untimely death in 1982, became one of the company's most popular models.
