The body is made from African mahogany and features an ash top with its great looking natural grain showing up beautifully through the transparent florescent orange finish.
With its double cutaway design and sharp horns, the Ibanez RGR5221 looks awesome while giving you great access to the upper frets for easy high-flying guitar solos.
Made from 5pc maple and wenge, the Super Wizard HP neck is extremely playable with its satin finish adding to the comfort and speed.
The neck holds a bound Macassar ebony fretboard which features stainless steel frets boasting excellent durability.
Furthermore, thanks to the Prestige fret edge treatment, you will enjoy extra-smooth playing.
British Brute Force
The main force behind the Ibanez RGR5221 RGR Prestige electric guitar's powerful voice is a set of two Bare Knuckle Brute Force pickups.
These UK-made humbuckers are hand wound to perfection and produce deep saturated driven tone and fat cleans with high output.
As a result, you'll find the Bare Knuckle Brute Force humbuckers lend themselves perfectly to extreme metal and heavy rock styles.
There's also a coil-split switch on hand so you can switch to a single-coil sound, doubling your tonal palette for extra sonic versatility.
Heavy Duty Hardware
Fitted to the body of the Ibanez RGR221-TFR is a Gibraltar Standard II bridge which offers enhanced sustain, fantastic tuning stability and precise intonation.
A Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut has been installed, further enhancing sustain and offering consistent performance while preventing string binding.
Up on the headstock, you'll find a set of six Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads providing precise and incredibly secure tuning of your strings.
