In contrast to the popular Hofner Contemporary series of bass, the Ignition Special Edition lineup features a classic hollow body design, which adds a natural resonance to its voice when played.

Hollow Body Construction
The back and sides are created from Flame Maple, whilst the top piece is Spruce - just like its 1970s forebears - and the whole thing has been given a stylish Sunburst finish for good measure.
In addition to this, the scale length of the bass is 30" - shorter than the more traditional bass size of 34" - offering a more comfortable playing experience, alongside a deeper, rounder bass sound.
Vintage-Style Appointments
To complete the vintage experience, this bass features appointments such as a wooden sadle, Teacup-style control knobs, vintage-sounding "Staple" pickups, a trapeze tailpiece, and even the classic 3-switch electronics panel
