In honour of the Hagstrom classic Swede, the Swede Bass makes a return to the Hagstrom line after nearly 40 years. Featuring a short, 30.75 inch (781mm) scale length, the all mahogany, set-neck Swede Bass offers enormous sustain and easy playability.
One of the most important traits inherited from the Swede guitar is Hagstrom’s classic tailpiece design with its massive blocks directly coupled to the body for optimal transmission of string energy, a key contributor to the Swede Bass’s thunderous, piano-like tones.
Easy-to-use and Easy-to-play. The pickups on the Swede Bass are derived from its not-too-distant cousin, the Viking Bass, and will delight players looking for sonic versatility; from classic to modern, these pickups deliver it all. Include a 3-way tone switch, another genetic contribution from the Swede Bass’ brother, and you have an easy-to-use, and easy-to-play source for your next collection of great bass sounds.
On top of it all, you can coil split the humbuckers to single coil mode, individually for neck and bridge pickups, by a pull on the respective Tone potentiometer knob. The Swede Bass’ classic single-cut design will be the perfect partner for players looking for superior tone, comfort, and sonic versatility.
