Tonally Exquisite -Equipped with a powerful HSS pickup configuration, the Surfliner Deluxe combines the distinctive tones of the DeArmond Aerosonic single-coil pickups and the Guild HB-2 humbucker. The bridge HB-2 Humbucker, with its Alnico II magnets, faithfully reproduces the rich and warm vintage Guild humbucker sound. Paired with the chiming single-coil tones of the DeArmond Aerosonic middle and neck pickups, this configuration offers a wide range of tonal possibilities. With the Surfliner Deluxe's classic 5-way blade switch, switching between different pickup combinations is effortless, providing instant access to rhythm and solo tones.
Superb Playability - This model introduces Guild's first-ever roasted maple neck, providing a dark aged appearance, increased stiffness, and enhanced stability. The bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays perfectly complements the satin-finished C-shaped 25.5" scale neck, delivering a smooth playing experience.
Reliable Hardware - A highlight of the Surfliner Deluxe is the all-new Guild Floating Vibrato Tailpiece (GFVT), designed to expand the guitar's sonic capabilities. This versatile vibrato tailpiece allows you to achieve a wide range of vibrato effects, from subtle flutters to deep swells. With its nylon insert and accessible tension screw, you have ultimate control over the bar tension. The embossed "G" on the tailpiece adds a touch of classic Guild DNA.
