Quality Electromatic Series Construction

This hollow body guitar is made of 5-ply maple and features a double cutaway design which looks great while also granting easier access of the higher frets; perfect for solos and adventurous lead guitar playing. Oversized bound F holes combined with the aged multi-ply body really gives you that incredible vintage Gretsch sound.

The slim, ultra-playable Maple neck has a gloss finish and features a scarf joint for extra sturdy construction. Adorning the neck is a classic Rosewood fingerboard with 12” radius and 22 medium jumbo frets.

At the top of the neck you’ll find a Graph Tech NuBone nut. A derivative of the wildly popular TUSQ material from GraphTech, NuBone is manufactured under high heat and pressure for incredible performance, even given improved performance over that of actual bone.

Unlike plastic, NuBone does not dampen the vibration from your strings and aids in delivering clear highs, full-bodied low end, beautifully balanced sound and enhanced sustain.

Another great feature of the G5422TG is the headstock which is a Late ‘50s Gretsch design offering another layer of visual appeal and vintage beauty.

High End Gold Hardware

Completing the vintage look of the late ‘50s style headstock are gold die cast open backed tuners which look great while also providing precise and stable tuning.

Again, keeping with the gold hardware look of the G5422TG is a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece and tremolo arm.

Giving you that awesome, old-school tremolo sound that only a Bigsby can provide – this tremolo is extremely fun to play and adds that extra dynamic to your performance. Combined with the Adjusto-Matic bridge with secured Rosewood base, you get incredible tuning stability.

A gold plexi pickguard with black Gretsch logo is both functional and visually pleasing.

Blacktop Filter’Tron Pickups

Being the driving force behind giving you that great Gretsch sound are a pair of Gretsch’s own Blacktop Filter’Tron humbucking pickups.

These incredible pickups have their own unique tone which is what has made them so popular for the last few decades. Delivering full bodied powerful piano-like tones with beautifully crisp top end, punchy mids and creamy lows – you get an all-around great sound from these humbuckers.

A three-way pickup selector switch is found on the top horn of the double cutaway, allowing you to switch between using either of the bridge or neck pickups individually or a combination of the two.

A volume control for each pickup, a master tone control and a master volume control allow you to really shape your voice. The master volume also has a treble bleed feature so you don’t lose your top end even when you dial down the volume.

In keeping with the beautiful gold hardware features of the G5422TG, the controls all have gold G-Arrow knobs which look fantastic.
