Mahogany is characterised by reduced highs, a smooth midrange and full luscious warm low-end tone. The result is a tom with a vibrant warm sound with full resonance. Ideal for a wide range of musical styles, Mahogany is great for those that want a full, well rounded tom tone.

The tom is finished off with 30 degree bearing edges, typical of traditional drum kits, further enhancing the characteristics of mahogany with added warmth for a rich, chunky sound.

Innovative Hardware

In addition to the beautiful sounding classic mahogany shells, Gretsch have really put an emphasis on attention to detail with the Catalina Club hardware, creating a distinctive “New Gretsch” look.

The tom comes complete with a mini GTS tom mounting system that secures to the tension rods of the rack tom. This innovative system avoids contact with the drum shell and prevents drilling into the shell which can significantly reduce resonance. This means the shell can resonant freely to allow for improved sustain and tonal response. 

This 10” Gretsch tom is also fitted with a reduced mass tom mount bracket, again to reduce interference with the shell resonance for a clearer, fuller tone. The tom is then topped off with 1.6mm triple-flanged hoops and Remo drumheads.
