Semi Hollow Construction

True to the original ES-330s, this awesome guitar has been crafted with that familiar 3-ply Maple / Poplar / Maple semi-hollow body, and Rounded "C"-shaped Mahogany neck.

This, when combined with the Trapeze tailpiece, vintage tuners, and ABR-1 bridge, results in a superb guitar that delivers in terms of natural resonance and sustain, like only a classic Gibson can.

In addition to this, the guitar has been given a Vintage Sunset Burst finish - a perfect match for the cream binding, white pickguard, and dogear pickups.

Dogear Pickups

Another key feature of the ES-330 is the inclusion of two P90 single coil pickups - and this Slim Harpo Signature is no different.

Sitting at both the Neck and Bridge positions on this guitar you will find a pair of Gibson P-90 single coils with Black "Dog Ear" covers - pickups which accurately recreate the raw, powerful tone that helped define the formative sound of electric blues and rock n' roll.

Each of these pickups features independent Volume and Tone controls, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors for superior tone, whilst a 3-way pickup selector lets you choose or blend the pickups for your perfect tone.

Who Is Slim Harpo?

James "Slim Harpo" Moore was one of the most commercially successful Blues artists of his day, and a leading exponent of the "Swamp Blues" style of music.

From the start of his musical career in the late 1950s, through to his sudden and untimely death in 1970 and beyond, Moore was regarded as one  of the most influential Bluesmen of the time, with acts such as The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, The Kinks, and many more releasing cover versions of his hits.

This Gibson signature guitar not only pays tribute to Slim, but also honours his life partner, manager, and the co-writer of many of his hits, Lovell Moore.
