With that traditional single cutaway shape, crafted from Mahogany and Maple, and with cream binding to the body, the Les Paul Classic certainly looks the part.
The Mahogany back is constructed with a 9-hole weight-relief design, offering a more comfortable, fatigue-less playing experience.
Attached to the body you'll find a solid Mahogany neck, carved with a slim taper profile, and topped with a bound Rosewood fretboard. This neck offers an incredible level of playability, and sports a set of trapezoid fret inlays for that classic Gibson look.
Versatile Pickups
For the pickups on the new Les Paul Classic, Gibson opted to fit a set of Burstbucker 61 humbuckers. Not only do these pickups produce a tone that's both vintage and high output, but they're wired to accept extra functionality - as is the case here!
Each of the control pots features a Push/Pull activation features, to allow even further tone-shaping options. Each of the Volume pots offers a Coil-Tapping function for the corresponding pickup, whilst the Tone pots give you the option of Phase/Pure Bypass functions.
