Now the Gibson Custom Shop has accurately recreated the classic Explorer, with features heralding from the original design, and even a Korina body and neck, for this Historic Reissue model.

- Classic Original Explorer Design - With an Authentic '58 Explorer neck profile, and solid, non-weight-relief body, this VOS guitar accurately recreates that playing experience. In addition to this, the natural tones generated by a solid Korina body, and solid Korina neck, combine perfectly with the Custombucker pickups.
- Hard-Rocking Pickups - The Custombucker pickups in this guitar have been specially designed at the Gibson Custom Shop to recreate those prized PAF-like characteristics. Due to the Alnico III magnets used in them, these passive, low-output pickups deliver rich tones, with articulate Mid and High frequencies, for that thick, articulate voice the Les Paul is famous for. These pickups - when combined with the aforementioned tonewoods - help to recreate those classic, hard-rocking humbucker tones that made the original Explorer and instant favourite with players across the globe.
- Harshell Case Included - A historically accurate hardshell case is included, with a classic brown exterior and plush pink interior. This case is constructed to fit the Explorer like a glove, and will keep the guitar safe from even the harshest of knocks as you travel to and from performances.
- Vintage Original Spec - Incredibly authentic from the tuners down to the wiring and with its Vintage Original Spec (VOS) status, this guitar looks, feels, and sounds exactly like an original 1958 Explorer. To achieve VOS status, Gibson's Custom Shop have created this guitar from the ground up with era-accurate specs - from the hardware and electronics, to even the type of glue used on the neck and fretboard.
