The Fulltone Sound Bender Overdrive is a meticulously crafted pedal that faithfully reproduces the iconic 1970s Sola-Sound ToneBender, renowned for its fat and singing lead fuzz tones. This modern recreation incorporates carefully sourced geranium transistors designed to offer an extended tonal range and increased volume compared to the original. With features like silent switching, true bypass, and polarity protection, the Sound Bender combines vintage authenticity with modern reliability.
Fulltone Sound Bender Overdrive Features:
Vintage Tone Reproduction: The Sound Bender faithfully replicates the 1970s Sola-Sound ToneBender, providing the classic fat and singing lead fuzz tones of that era. Meticulous attention to detail ensures an authentic vintage overdrive voice.
Premium Germanium Transistors: Three specially designed germanium transistors with low internal gain and low noise contribute to the pedal's enhanced volume and tonal range. These transistors capture the essence of the original Sola-Sound pedal and offer improved performance.
Tone Control with Midrange Emphasis: The tone control on the Sound Bender acts uniquely by shaping the sound through a combination of removing treble frequencies and boosting mid and bass frequencies. This results in fat tones with sustain and the ability to produce violin-like solo tones that cut through the mix.
Modern Reliability: Silent switching ensures smooth operation without audible pops or clicks when engaging or disengaging the pedal. True bypass preserves the natural tone of your guitar when the pedal is switched off.
