The Fulltone Custom Shop SUPA-WAH is an advanced wah pedal that builds upon the legendary CLYDE Wah concept, offering five unique voices or modes. This pedal is designed for players who want a versatile wah-wah pedal with distinct tonal characteristics. Let's delve into the key features and capabilities of the SUPA-WAH.
Fulltone Custom Shop SUPA-WAH Features
Five Unique Voices: The SUPA-WAH provides five distinct voicings or modes Sub, Wacked, Phat, Jimi, and Shaft. Each mode offers a different character, providing players with a variety of wah tones to choose from.
Mode Selection: The modes are easily accessible via a large rotary switch located on the right side of the pedal. This allows players to switch between different voicings seamlessly, essentially providing the functionality of five different wah pedals in one unit.
Phat Mode: Phat mode is described as the throatiest and most vocal wah sound. It is a preferred mode for its expressive and vocal-like qualities.
Sub Mode: Sub mode delivers a deep, grunty wah sound that is expressive and works exceptionally well on bass guitars. However, it is not limited to bass players and can be appreciated by guitarists seeking a unique tonal character.
BC109B Transistors: The SUPA-WAH is powered by a matched pair of rare BC109B transistors. These transistors were used in the 1960s Vox Clyde McCoy wah pedals, contributing to the pedal's vintage-inspired sound.
Adjustable Input Level: The pedal features an adjustable input LEVEL knob that allows players to control how the signal hits the wah circuit. When turned down, the signal hits the wah circuit cleanly, and when turned up, it overdrives the circuit for added grit and overtones.
Buffer Level: The SUPA-WAH includes a buffer level control, providing further control over the signal and ensuring optimal performance in various setups.
Power Options: The pedal can be powered using a 9-18V DC power supply or a 9V battery, offering flexibility in power options for different setups.
Custom Shop Build: The SUPA-WAH is part of the Fulltone Custom Shop, known for its attention to quality and craftsmanship.
Satisfied Customer Testimonials: The pedal has received positive feedback from satisfied owners, praising its build quality, tonal options, and overall performance.
The Fulltone Custom Shop SUPA-WAH is positioned as a comprehensive wah pedal with a range of voices, vintage-inspired components, and adjustable controls for players who seek a diverse set of wah tones in a single pedal. Whether you're into expressive vocal-like wah sounds or deep, grunty tones, the SUPA-WAH aims to cover a wide spectrum of wah-wah possibilities.
