The best attributes are sometimes hidden, as they are in the Country Squire Stealth with an intriguing pairing of visible and invisible pickups delivering "Old school", period perfect tone, or an "altered state" hum cancelled edge, the Stealth delivers either and more with Fret-King’s signature versatility.

Country Squire Stealth Features

• Body: The three-piece body with 4” centre block is constructed from selected American alder. The body, with its vintage edge radiuses casts a classic shadow, with an elegant visual enhanced by a classic applique F-Hole. The unique reduced profile neck joint and subtly extended cutaway offers enhanced upper fret access, and the superb overall balance makes the Stealth a pleasure to wear. A solid four bolt neck joint ensures the constructional and mechanical integrity which provides a platform for great sustain and the emblematic tonalities of the Country Squire Stealth.
• Headstock: The signature Fret-King headstock ensures perfect balance, classic looks, and great visual appeal.
• Machine Heads: Wilkinson WJ05 machine heads provide quick, accurate, stable tuning.
• Nut: 43mm Graph Tech self-lubricating nut, smooth and friction free.
• Neck: Light oil finished, hard rock Maple with classic ‘soft C’ profile for instant comfort, speed, accuracy, and a luxurious 'played in' feel.
• Fingerboard: Premium Indian Rosewood for durability, and outstanding tonal transfer with a 10” radius for a super comfortable, responsive, positive playing feel.

• Frets: 22 Medium profile hi-durability nickel silver frets ensure accuracy, comfort, and an overall feel.
• Pickups: A perfect pairing of custom designed Fret-King pickups, by Trev Wilkinson, coupled with two switchable auxiliary Bukkacoil phantom coils under the pickguard, provides either period perfect, unfettered classic single coil quack and honk from the neck mounted Country Road pickup, or with the Bukka coils engaged, a more nuanced hum-cancelled edge. With a three way selector switch on an ergonomically designed angled switch plate for pickup selection, master volume, with push/push to engage/disengage the Bukkacoil pair, a master tone, and Fret-King’s unique Varicoil control, which progressively winds in and out the additional winds of the bridge mounted Tapped-Fifty pickup allowing the Fret-King Stealth to segue between a classic ‘50’s tone to Gypsy Jazz, to sparkling country, all the way to a more contemporary, driven "Southern Hot".

Control Functions:

Ergonomic three-way lever switch selects Country Road neck pickup, both, or bridge pickup.
Master volume with Push-Push latching switch engages concealed Bukka hum cancelling coils.
Tone Control: Outer control master tone, inner control, Varicoil adds or subtracts additional winds in the bridge mounted Tapped-Fifty bridge pickup.

Bridge:

Enhancing that tonality is the unique Wilkinson WTB bridge featuring a steel baseplate which surrounds and focusses the magnetic field of the Alnico V loaded bridge pickup. Adjustable, pre-intonated barrel style natural brass saddles allow spot-on tuning, and two strings per saddle solidly anchor the saddles to the bridge baseplate ensuring the maximum mechanical coupling so crucial to giving you all the power and tone you need.
