Originally released as the Fender Broadcaster, Fender had to drop the name due to another company using a similar name on their product.

Having already produced hundreds of "Fender Broadcaster" stickers for the headstocks of these guitars, not wanting to waste money, Fender simply cut the decals in half - removing the Broadcaster part and effectively making it a... no caster.

Of course, this guitar was extremely popular and went on to become what we now know as the Fender Telecaster.

Crafting the 1951 Nocaster

Ash has been used to craft the now iconic Telecaster style body, with its cutaway design allowing for easy reach of the higher frets.

Attached to the body is a Maple neck featuring a '60s style oval "C" shape for a comfortable grip in your fretting hand.

Atop the neck is a classic Maple fretboard with medium jumbo size frets - a great all-purporse fret size, and black Micarta inlay dots to guide your way.

Being a Relic aged guitar, this Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster has a really authentic, worn-in look and feel with it appearing as a guitar that's seen a lot of action throughout the decades. Dings, scratches and dents in the finish, wood and hardware ensure this guitar really tells a story.
