Advanced Performance

To get the best performance possible from the Fender Stratocaster, Fender took classic Strat design and gave it a few upgrades.

The playability enhancing double cutaway shape is there, but this alder body boasts new sculpting.

Fom the edge radius and belly cut to the cutaway and heel - everything has been smoothed seamlessly put together and shaped by hand.

Attached to the body is a maple neck which has also been shaped by hand and features the unique new "Modernd D" profile.

This great new shape combined with its Ultra Satin finish and tapered neck heel make this Fender's fatest-playing neck.

A traditional Rosewood can be found on the neck and it boasts a few more play-enhancing features.

First, the fret edges are rolled for added comfort and smooth playability.

Furthermore, because of the fretboard's 10" - 14" compound radius you get optimum performance wherever you are on the neck.

Ultra Noiseless Pickups

Giving the Fender American Ultra Stratocaster HSS its great sounding and highly veratile voice is its HSS pickup configuration.

For the bridge pickup, Fender have installed an Ultra Double Tap Humbucking pickup. This joins forces with two Ultra Noiselsss Hot Strat single-coil pickups in the middle and neck positions.

The brand new Ultra Double Tap humbucker gives you fat double-coil tone. However, you can also split this humbucker and get the more traditional three single-coil Strat pickup sound.

The single-coil pickups on the American Ultra Stratocaster HSS give you high output Fender single-coil Strat sound.

Using Fender's cutting edge Noiseless technology, these pickups give you that great sound but with no hum ruining your output.

S-1 Neck Pickup Versatility and More

To ensure you get the most out of your electric guitar, the S-1 switch has a different function on each model in the Fender American Ultra series.

Discreely fitted in the American Ultra Stratocaster HSS's Master Volume knob, the S-1 switch allows you to turn the Ultra Double Tap Humbucker into a single-coil pickup.

Usually, coil splitting technology gives you a "half humbucker" sound rather than true single-coil tone.

Fortunately, Fender have combatted this and so engaging the S-1 switch will give you authentic, cutting single-coil bridge pickup tone.

The Fender American Ultra Stratocaster HSS also boass a treble bleed circuit.

Normally, rolling back the volume on your electric guitar removes your high end. As a result, your tone is muddy and unrefined at lower volumes.

However, thanks to the American Ultra Strat HSS's treble bleed circuit, you keep that crisp, powerful clarity at any volume - high or low.

Another great feature of the Fender American Ultra Stratocaster HSS's electronics is the treble bleed circuit.

Allowing you to further shape your sound, there are the usual Stratocaster tone knobs - one for the neck and middle pickups and the other for the bridge pickup.

American Ultra Hardware

Fitted to the body is a 2-point deluxe synchronised tremolo bridge with a pop-in arm. This bridge offers great tuning stability, precise intonation and increased sustain while offering fantastic tremolo performance.

Up on the headstock, there are six deluxe locking tuning machines which vastly increases tuning stability, supporting the tremolo bridge.
