Ever since it's initial launch in 1951, the Fender Precision Bass has been seen as a revolutionary instrument. The design remains largely unchanged since it's debut, which is a true testiment to Fenders excellent design. After all, why mess with perfection?
The Fender Precision Bass. Pure Elegance, Refined.
The bass is considered to be one of the most important aspects of any great band. It only makes sense then that a great bassist has the ultimate tools at his disposal to lay down the perfect groove. The Fender American Professional Precision Bass is now and always has been the first choice of instrument for any series bassist looking to further their playing.
Incredible Playability, Fenders Iconic '63 "P-Bass" Profile
The Precision Bass features Fenders now legendary '63 "P-Bass" neck profile, which is vastly considered to be one of the best neck profiles found on any bass to date. It's quite literally become the standard to which all other neck profiles would be judged. A satin finish to the back of the neck also gives it an incredible smooth feel.
Narrow-Tall Frets
Narrow-tall frets are taller and narrower than their medium jumbo cousins, making them especially effective for bending notes and playing chords up the neck with perfect intonation.
V-Mod Bass Pickups
The V-Mod pickups are highly refined versions of Fenders classic vintage pickup design. Packed with legendary Fender tone, these split coil pickups deliver high output tone with a warmth and crisp usually associated with vintage instruments.
HiMassTM Vintage Bridge
Channel the early days of Fender in a thoroughly modern instrument thanks to the vintage-style Hi Mass bass bridge with single-groove saddles, offering an authentic vintage look with plenty of stability and sustain.
New Fluted Tuners
Wider at the top than the bottom, the fluted shafts force the string windings downward and keep them tight, resulting in a sharper and consistent break angle over the nut, creating increased sustain and better tuning stability.
PosiflexTM Graphite Rods
All American Professional bass necks incorporate Posiflex graphite rods to reinforce against movement that can occur with fluctuations the environment. Embedded beneath the fingerboard, they improve reliability on the road, in the studio or in your home.
New Hardshell Case
The Elite Molded Case features body-hugging contours to protect your cherished instrument, TSA latches for increased security and nested stacking ability for easy storage and secure transport.
