Excellent Build
Renowned for its excellent sustain, resonant tone and pronounced upper midrange, Alder has been used for the body of the American Performer Telecaster.
A cutaway to the lower bout of the Telecaster is part of what gives this guitar its distinctive look while allowing for easy reach of the higher frets.
Attached to the body is a modern “C” shaped Maple neck that has a satin finish so it’s very comfortable to hold and exceptionally smooth.
Atop the neck is a traditional Rosewood fretboard with a modern 9.5” radius and 22 jumbo size frets for easy playability and accurate, effortless bends.
Fender Yosemite Pickups and Greasebucket Circuitry
Where the Fender American Performer Telecaster really shines is in its electronics.
Yosemite single-coil pickups are installed in both the neck and bridge positions, delivering beautifully rich and expressive tones that are exceptionally dynamic, making them suitable for any style.
These Yosemite Telecaster pickups feature flat-staggered pole pieces for increased output and have coatings that allow the coil to breathe while keeping feedback under control.
A shellac coating is used on the neck pickup while wax potting can be found on the bridge pickup.
A three-position toggle allows you to switch up how you use the pickups with your choice of either individually or both together.
You can further shape your sound with the Master Volume and Master Tone knobs. Boasting Greasebucket circuitry, the Master Tone allows you to shape your highs without adding unwanted bass so you keep your sound crisp and clear.
High Quality Hardware
Up on the distinctive Telecaster headstock, there are six Fender ClassicGear machine heads offering fine precision tuning of your strings.
Down on the body is a 3-saddle strings-thru-body Tele bridge giving you that classic Telecaster look.
Furthermore, because of this strings-thru-body design of the bridge helping to transfer vibration from the strings to the body, you get enhanced sustain.
