What was your first instrument?
An Encore Stratocaster. It wasn't the nicest of guitars to play and it was swiftly replaced.
If you could jam with any of your music heroes (dead or alive), who would it be?
Dimebag Darrell inspired me to pick up the guitar and get into heavier music. He’s an absolute cowboy from hell and I'm gutted I'll never get to see him play live.
Musical weapon of choice?
Washburn Dime Slime 333, Seymour Pickups, Schaller tremolo for harmonic madness, through a Randall RH150 of course...

In your opinion, the best all-time album is...?
Almost impossible to choose, but I’m picking ‘Wintersun’ from Wintersun. This album is phenomenal; Jari Mäenpää is a musical genius. I've listened to the album about 200 times, due in part to the continually delayed follow up album that’s hysterically enough titled ‘Time’.
Where is place to party in Newcastle?
PMT Newcastle, of course! There’s all kinds of musical madness going down. Plus BrewDog is just over the road, so if you like canny strong pints and coosty patter, that's the place to be.
