The pairing of EddieVan Halen and his beloved Frankenstrat guitars left an enormous stamp on modern music, which is still felt today more than three decades after he first exploded onto the scene. These iconic guitars are remembered as a combination of superb tone, breakneck playing speeds, fluid playing styles, and that awesome hand-painted finish of Red with Black and White stripes.
The EVH guitar company are now continuing this legacy, with the EVH Wolfgang Special, a premium-grade electric guitar with two specially designed humbuckers, a super-fast neck, Floyd Rose locking trem, and (yes, you guessed it) that iconic Red, Black and White finish!

The specially-engineered, crystal-clear sounding Wolfgang Humbuckers are direct mounted, providing you with plenty of width and clarity, whilst offering near endless sustain to power chords and melodies alike. Each pickup has been specially positioned to offer to perfect array of sounds for even the fasting of playing styles.

EVH Wolfgang Special guitars feature an array of other premium appointments, including: low-friction volume control pot (for super-fast shifts in volume, leading to violin-like volume swells); high-friction tone control pot (which prevents accidental tonal shifts once you've reached that sweet spot); and a rock-solid EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking trem (with D-Tuna) and locking nut, allowing you to divebomb to your heart's content and even switch to drop-D tuning without affecting the tuning stability or intonation of the guitar, and back again at the flick of a switch.
