The Evans EC Reverse Dot 13" Snare Batter Head is a very durable head that is at the darker end of Evans snare head range. It features 2 plies: a 7mil top ply and a 10 mil bottom ply to offer a controlled sound that still provides resonance. The EC head also has Evans Sound Shaping Technology to reduce unwanted frequencies and improve attack.

Consistent Attack, Sustain and Tone in a Durable Snare Head

The EC Reverse Dot drum head features a unique mix of two different thickness of ply to create a more controlled sound. Its two-ply construction has a top 7mil ply that sits above a thicker 10mil ply. The result is a darker, weighty controlled snare sound that still provides resonance. In addition, the snare boasts great sensitivity across all tunings and at all dynamic ranges.

The Centre Dot

The Reverse Dot, from which the head gets its name, in the centre of the head provides extra durability at the optimum striking position. This added strength means your snare head should last much longer. It also works to provide added focus and attack.

Sound Shaping Technology

The Reverse Dot also features Evans SST (Sound Shaping Technology). This technology involves 2 edge-control rings that are mounted to the underside of the drum head to control vibration. This control helps to dampened unwanted overtones which in turn enhances attack and low-end tone. It also broadens the tuning range.

The EC Reverse Dot snare batter head is available in sizes from 10" - 14".

Evans Level 360 Technology

As with all Evans drum heads, this EC Resonant Drum Head features unique Level 360 Technology. This technology consists of a steeper collar to the rim of the drum head which ensures balanced contact with the shell bearing edge. This means the head makes proper contact with the shell ensuring a consistent fit so that the head won't damage easily or lose tension. The rim of the drum head also features roll-over hoop designed to improve the strength and stability of the head without diminishing performance. This technology ensures a more consistent head to shell contact that provides a wider range of tuning, better responsiveness and resonance, and a stronger, longer lasting head.
