Whilst ESP was first established in 1975 as a small repair shop, it was only during the mid 1980s when their name truly began to take off on the world stage.
To commemorate this, the LTD '87 Series are faithful recreations of instruments from the company's 1987 catalog - in this case a return of the coveted Surveyor bass, with a classic bolt-on design and versatile P/J pickup configuration.

Premium Construction
The body on the ESP LTD Surveyor 87 is crafted from Alder, and features a comfortably-curved take on the classic P-Bass shape.
Attached to the body is a bolt-on Maple neck with a Thin U profile shape, and a slick-playing Ebony fingerboard that makes playing the bass an absolute dream.
Both the body and the headstock on this bass have been given a gorgeous Rainbow Crackle finish, making it as eye-catching as it is playable.
Vintage Voiced
Powering the voice on this awesome bass is a pair of Seymour Duncan Pickups, with a Vintage P split coil sitting in the middle position, and a Vintage Jazz single coil sitting at the bridge.
These pickups combine to deliver a blend of classic J-style growl with the thunderous voice of a P-bass, with the Volume, Tone, and Blend knobs giving you accurate control over your output.
