80's-Style Shred Machine
Whilst ESP was first established in 1975 as a small repair shop, it was only during the mid 1980s when their name truly began to take off on the world stage.
To commemorate this, the LTD '87 Series are faithful recreations of instruments from the company's 1987 catalog - in this case one of their original "Eclipse" models, which were based on T-style archtop guitars, as opposed to the more modern ESP Eclipse.
ESP LTD Eclipse 87 Electric Guitar, Black Highlights
Premium-quality electric guitar
Inspired by a classic 1987 ESP design
T-Style Mahogany body with an arched top
Super-sleek Maple neck, capped with a bound Ebony fingerboard
Two Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups ('59 at the Neck, JB at the Bridge)
Push/Pull coil split function in Tone control opens up a huge world of tonal options
Floyd Rose 1000 locking tremolo bridge and nut
80s-Style Construction
As mentioned above, despite its name this guitar's body is actually based upon the company's original Eclipse concept from the mid-1980s - an arch-topped T-style guitar, with two humbuckers and a Floyd Rose bridge.
The body is carved from Mahogany, whilst the set-thru neck is Maple. Both the neck and body are carved to deliver a truly comfortable playing experience, whatever your playstyle, and they deliver in style.
In addition to this, the neck is capped with a bound Ebony fingerboard with 24 Xtra Jumbo frets, and is designed to allow your fingers to simply glide over each and every note with ease.
Classic Metal Voice
Powering the voice of this awesome guitar, you will find a set of Seymour Duncan '59 (neck) and JB (bridge) humbuckers, with original style bobbins.
These pickups are one of the most popular Seymoud Duncan pairings ever amongst hard rock and metal guitar players, due to the PAF-like richness of the Neck position, and the biting growl of the Bridge position.
In addition to this, the Tone control features a Push/Pull function, that splits the pickups into Single Coil mode, giving you an array of articulate cleans at your disposal for when you need them.
We have a wide range of delivery options available, depending on the value of your parcel, timeframe and budget. Select from our 2-3 Day Saver service or our Next Working Day service at the Checkout, this will include a text or email on the day of delivery giving you an exact hour delivery window.
