The Made in Japan E-II Alexi Ripped is one of the last instruments designed by the former Children of Bodom frontman in collaboration with ESP, and comes equipped with the kind of electronics, hardware, and appointments that helped shape his signature sound over the years.

Building The E-II Alexi "Ripped"
In true Alexi style this awesome guitar features an offset V-shaped body comprising of two Alder wings sitting on either side of a 3-piece Maple neck.
This "Neck-Thru" construction results in superb levels of natural sustain and tonal stability, giving you a guitar that's guaranteed to perform at its best night after night.
In addition to this, the thin "U"-shaped neck profile and bound Ebony fingerboard - with 24 XJ frets, of which 19-24 are scalloped - combine for effortless levels of playability, at any speed.
Versatile Electronics
The E-II Alexi Ripped's aggressive sound is powered by an EMG HZ F-H2 humbucker pickup at the bridge, and an EMG HZ S2 stacked single coil pickup at the neck.
These pickups offer that tell-tale Laiho high-gain presence and clarity, with the addition of the clarity and balanced mids of a single coil, whilst the Volume control and 3-way toggle switch allow you to fine-tune your output accordingly.
In addition to this you'll find an ESP MM-04 active boost switch, a preamp circuit with adjustable EQ settings, and up to +18dB of boost when you need it - perfect for when you want to push your amp over the edge.
Premium Hardware
Bringing the whole thing together is a host of great hardware, including a double-locking Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge and Grover locking tuners.
This hardware system - along with the associated locking nut - works perfectly to ensure that you can perform outrageous pitch bends, without negatively affecting the guitar's tuning stability.
