Maraging Steel, or M-Steel for short, is a superalloy created by a process of slow cooling and age hardening. M-Steel is often used in high stress, high intensity applications for aerospace and defence industries.
Played by awesome guitarists such as Kirk Hammett, Steve Lukather and the guys of Avenged Sevenfold, these strings have the high output needed for a huge performance.
Power Slinky M-Steel Electric Guitar Strings
The wound strings of the Power Slinky M-Steel set of guitar strings comprised of a patented Super Cobalt alloy that is wrapped around a Maraging steel hex core wire. The result is a richer, fuller tone with powerful low end response.
M-Steel plain strings are made with a specially tempered steel, providing maximum fatigue resistance while a patented winding of steel around the ball end reduces slippage and breakage. This patented winding even ensures the strings stay in tune better than conventional plain guitar strings.
