Quality Construction

With help from Slash himself, the Slash AFD Les Paul Special-II comes with an Appetite Amber finish, featuring a AAA flame Maple Veneer top with single layer Ivory binding while the back, sides and neck are finished in a deep, luscious, dark Cherry; all inspired by the custom Les Paul as owned by Slash. Like with all classic Les Pauls, the body and bolt-on neck are both made from Mahogany wood.

The AFD Les Paul Special-II Rosewood fingerboard has dot acrylic inlays and a headstock that features Slash’s Snakepit logo in a gold silk print along with the legendary Epiphone script logo appearing in silver. The headstock also features die-cast machine heads with a 14:1 ratio for quick, easy and accurate tuning.

Premium Hardware and Electronics

The Slash “AFD” Les Paul Special-II features Epiphone’s own premium, all-metal hardware with a legendary Tune-O-Matic bridge, Stopbar tailpace and strap buttons giving Slash AFD a solid and classy, hard rock look.

Inspired by the classic Les Paul Standards prominent in the late 1950s, the powerful roar of the Slash AFD Les Paul Special-II is generated by the Ceramic Plus Zebra Coil humbucker pickups which themselves are striking and eye-catching with their black and white, classic design. To complete the glorious and heavy duty look, the Slash “AFD” Les Paul Special-II features Volume, Tone and Toggle controls all with Gold TopHat knobs and metal inserts.

The AFD Les Paul Special-II comes with a built-in Shadow E-Tuner integrated with the bridge pickup mounting ring so you can easily stay in tune without a separate tuner and keep an eye on your tuning situation even during adverse lighting conditions such as a dimly lit stage when performing.
