The 'thin line' semi-hollowbodies by Epiphone and Gibson have become the go-to instrument of choice for countless jazz, blues and rock legends. The Sheraton-II Pro continues the rich heritage of the Epiphone archtop by upgrading the Sheraton-II with new ProBucker pickups, a brand new hardware set while retaining the vintage tone and style of the original 50s model.
A thin line body and featuring brand spanking new ProBuckers, more powerful and versatile than ever
Each with coil-tapping capabilities the ProBuckers offer unrivalled tonal options at your disposal. Epiphone have also tweaked the hardware package on the Sheraton II Pro, with a Graphtech NuBone Nut now offering superior string stability and tuning accuracy.
An all-maple body and top form the foundation for bright, acoustic tone, with traditional f-hole cutaways that allow it to resonate and breathe in true hollowbody style. The 24.75” scale neck is hand-set and made of 5-piece laminated hard Maple/Walnut with a beautiful Rosewood fingerboard with block and triangle pearloid and abalone inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a large vintage style “Clipped Ear” headstock with the classic “tree of life” motif.
Hailed by blues legend John Lee Hooker as "an out-did 335," the Sheraton has been renown for decades for its combination of superior tone and beautiful pearloid and abalone inlay. Originally released in 1959, the inspiration for the "thin-line" or ES series has its roots in Les Paul's first solidbody guitar, "The Log," that Les built in Epiphone’s factory in Manhattan in 1940.
Please Note: Although this guitar is listed as featuring Grover tuning machines, it may instead ship with Wilkinson tuners fitted. This is because Epiphone are currently in the process of altering their current acoustic and electric guitar model specs, with this being one of the key changes.
