High Quality and Vintage Style, Accessible to All
The Epiphone Mastertone Bowtie Open Back Banjo draws inspiration from the Gibson Mastertone models with “Bowtie” aesthetics from the 1950s and 1960s, offering high quality and a vintage style at an affordable price. Ideal for both clawhammer/frailing and Scruggs style players, it features a 26.4” scale length satin-finished mahogany neck with a Gibson “scroll-style” headstock adorned with a mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown inlays. The bound laurel fretboard has 22 frets with classic mother-of-pearl Bowtie inlays and a Mastertone block inlay at the end. The rim is made of layered mahogany with a simple hoop tone ring, while the notched nickel tension hoop and 11” Remo Fiberskyn head are secured with 24 nickel hooks. The Fiberskyn head produces warm, full-range, vintage-inspired tones with excellent definition and enhanced mid and low-range resonance. A premium gig bag is also included.
