For this particular Collector's Series kit, DW has chosen to utilise a hybrid Maple and Mahogany setup (mostly Maple, with inner and outer Mahogany ply), offering the perfect combination of maple's renowned sustain and projection, coupled with mahogany's warmer voice. The resulting drum sound is fast becoming a favourite with both studio and touring artists alike, and is perfect for a wide variety of musical applications.
