With the Dunlop JCT95 Cry Baby you get a premium-grade, signature Wah effects pedal crafted for Tool bassist Justin Chancellor.

A Multi-Tool Of Sonic Craftsmanship

This awesome pedal combines three separate effects into a single chassis, combining the fluid expressiveness of a custom midrange filter, the bright aggression of a custom wah circuit, and the chainsaw grind of a vintage fuzz.

Whether you want to open up vast soundscapes, or sync up single note melody runs with another instrument for multi-layered compositions, the JCT95 can give you all of the tools you need.

Dunlop JCT95 Justin Chancellor Wah Pedal Highlights

  • Signature Cry Baby wah pedal for Tool bassist Justin Chancellor
  • Two different voicing options: U.K. Filter and Wah
  • Separate Volume and Q controls for each mode
  • Built-in vintage-style fuzz effect
  • Rugged metal enclosure, with hard-wearing rubber foot pad

Two Unique Voices

To help meet Justin's sonic needs, the JCT95 comes equipped with two different modes to choose from:

  • U.K. Filter - This mode uses a custom solid-state circuit that's been designed to emulate the unique envelope-like filtering that's built into the tone control of Justin's own bass - think of the Tool track "The Patient", and you'll have an idea of what you'll be in for. Combine this with the built-in fuzz effect and you'll get smooth, synth-like tones.
  • Cry Baby Wah - This traditional wah effect sounds brilliant, aggressive, and lush, with the classic red Fasel Inductor combine pefectly with the circuitry of a modified Cry Baby Wah. Combine this with the built-in fuzz circuit, and you get a sound that curts right through the mix.

Hold Down The Low End

Each mode is fully customisable with independent Volume and Q controls, along with a footswitch that allows you to move between each on the fly.

No matter which voice you have selected the peda's custom circuitry maintains the thickness and heft of your low end by boosting the clean signal at 400hz, and effortlessly blending it in with the effect signal at the beginning of the rocker's sweep.

Built-In Fuzz

In addition to both Wah modes the JCT95 features a built-in fuzz effect, based on a ferocious device of vintage UK origin.

This fuzz cuts through the mix with a tighter focus than most fuzz effects of its type, without compromising on your bass's low end.

Normally you will only hear the fuzz when using the rocker pedal, giving your wah effects just enough harmonic content to grab hold of for crushing yet musical passages. However, if you just want to use the fuzz by itself, simply kick the switch on the side and it'll run on its own!
