Dunlop Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys Fuzz Pedal Key Features

  • Legendary Fuzz Effect - Between 1969 and 1970, Hendrix used a mysterious Fuzz Face Distortion at several legendary Band of Gypsys performances, and this unit helps to recreate those iconic tones.
  • Pedalboard-Friendly - A smaller, "Mini"-style enclosure ensures that this pedal needs the minimal amount of real-estate on your pedalboard, allowing you to slot it into most boards with ease.
  • Tweaked to Perfection - Whilst the original fuzz unit has been lost to time, engineers at Dunlop used several high quality recordings of the pedal in action to approximate the sound. They eventually settled on a version of the Octavio circuit, but without the Octave Up effect, and then after a few more tweaks they had exactly what they wanted.
  • Iconic Aesthetics - To complete the experience, all Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series pedals feature custom finishes that helps to remix the famous 1968 Shrine Auditorium concert poster art of celebrated artist John Van Hamserveld. In the case of this pedal you get a buzzsaw starburst, peaceful sunflowers, and psychedelic lettering, all awash in warm, vibrant colours reminiscent of the era.
  • Buffered Bypass - The buffered bypass switching on this pedal offers a superb range of tones along with full co-operation with wah pedals - but if you're a tonal purist, have no fear as you can switch to True Bypass at the push of a button!
