The Super Distortion T delivers the iconic performance of the renowned Super Distortion in a humbucking Tele bridge direct replacement-size pickup. It features the same powerful tone that made the original Super Distortion a global standard for high-output humbuckers. We’ve adjusted the sound to suit the classic slanted bridge position of the Tele. Like its full-size counterpart, the Super Distortion T includes 4-conductor wiring for parallel humbucking and split-coil modes.
Unmatched Power, Perfect Clarity
Given that the Super Distortion T is designed for installation in the slanted bridge position of a 25 1/2” scale guitar, we’ve fine-tuned the specs of the original Super Distortion humbuckers to compensate. This adjustment results in smoother treble response and tighter bass. Dual-blade Tele replacements typically aren’t known for their splitting ability due to their narrow magnetic fields. However, the Super Distortion T offers an impressive single-coil sound in split mode that remains strong and clear, without becoming brittle or weak.
