A new take on traditional Flamenco guitars
Whilst the GK Studio has been described as Cordoba as their "ultimate gigging instrument", the GK Studio Negra offers you an entirely new experience. Featuring a solid European Spruce top, striking Rosewood back and sides, soft cutaway and Fishhman Presys Blend pickup.
Thinner Body, Premium Quality Construction
This stage-ready, Classical Flamenco style guitar has been especially crafted for comfortable stage performances, featuring a slightly thinner body depth, neck and nut width than a traditional Spanish guitar. The neck has been designed to offer low-action for faster playability, and the soft cutaway on the body grants easy access to the upper frets.
Exquisite Tonewoods
The combination of Solid Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides is an unusual one in the world of Flamenco guitars. Whilst the spruce top grants the expected bright and springy tone, the addition of warm and resonant Rosewood back and sides offers a much bassier and more robust tone in comparison to the bright, snappy sound usually associated with the instrument. Not only that but the nature of Rosewoods's beautiful woodgrain ensures that your instrument will look truly unique, as the grain varies greatly from instrument to instrument.
Fishman Presys Pickup System
The onboard Fishman Presys Pickup system comes complete with it's own Preamp blend controls. This allows you to accurately set the Volume output, and Bass, Middle and Treble frequency ranges to your liking. You also get the additional Notch and Phase controls, which help you to eliminate feedback and improve low-level bass response respectively. Additionally you have the Mic Blend and Mic Trim functions, and an on-board chromatic tuner, all powered by a single 9v battery.
The High Quality Alternative Classical Sound
The more robust and bassy tone of this guitar is a stark contrast to the usually bright and snappy tones of more traditional flamenco instruments, however it would also work perfectly for any guitarist looking to add a new tone to their repertoire.
