Cold Mould

One of the key features of the British Drum Co building process, and what sets them apart from other drum manufacturers, is their cold press moulding system.

While some drum builders use heat during their shell production, the British Drum Company prefer to allow their timber and shells to acclimatize naturally to the surrounding temperature and environment before, during and after moulding.

Providing what they believe to be the secret to the success of their stable drum shells, the absence of heat when pressing and moulding the shells is what gives the drums their signature BDC sound.
