BOSS Waza Amp Head 75, a 75 Watt, High-Gain, Solid State Guitar Amplifier Head

With the Waza series of amplifiers, BOSS have set out with one goal in mind: recapturing that vintage, hard-rock tube-amp sound of yesteryear in a modern amplifier, that can cater for the needs of the modern working guitarist. The Waza amplifier and cabinets are rooted in the long history of guitar amp development, and work together seemlessly to offer the original sounds of the very first rock stack amps.

The Waza Amp Head 75 is the latest offering in the line of Waza amplifiers. Featuring a whole host of modern technological advances, four incredible channel choices, it's very own Tone Capsule, and a range of expressive sounds that go from vintage to the legendary Brown Sound, this amp head breaks new ground in the modern amp market to realise the ultimate in rock guitar tone, and is simply a must-have for any professional, hard-rocking axe-man.

The Ultimate Modern High-Gain Guitar Amplifier Head

Born from a combination of BOSS expertise / passion and the inherited spirit of historical master amp builder, the Waza 75 produces the ideal rock guitar sound. The first ever stack amp produced is still the benchmark for all new rock guitar amplifiers, and throughout history master builders have worked tireless to fine-tune this classic amp design in an attempt to uncover its secrets. One of these secrets is the fabled Brown Sound, made famous by none other than Eddie Van Halen during the late 70's and 1980's.

The Brown Sound

With two different Amp styles to choose from with your front-panel settings, the Waza 75 allows you to completely re-voice your sound at will. With the Internal setting you get that coveted "First Stack Amp" sound that is a favourite for rock guitarists the world over, but at the flick of a switch you can engage Amplifier A, instantly giving you BOSS's painstaking recreation of the Brown Sound.

This highly sought-after setting gives you an array of tonally balanced characteristics, with dynamics that respond to every nuance of your playstyle, a growling low-end, powerful midrange, plenty of bite, smooth high-end presence, airiness, touch sensitivity and more!

With the addition of another Tone Capsule you can also choose an Amplifier B setting, giving you yet another range of sounds to play with. Each of these amp settings gives you access to four unique channels: Clean, Crunch, Lead 1 and Lead 2.

Exquisite Power Control

The problem with traditional tube amps is you often end up cranking up the volume to achieve the perfect tone, which is great if you're performing in a stadium in front of 20,000 adoring fans but not so good if you're in a small practice space with the rest of your band progressively hating you.

Thanks to the clever technology in the BOSS Waza 75 you need never have to worry about this again. The in-built power control switch allows you to choose between four power output levels, with 75 Watts being the maximum, and the minimum being a measly 1 Watt of power (!!!). That's right, a single, solitary Watt, meaning you can crank up the volume as much as you like in the hunt for that perfect tone without perforating anybody's ear drums in the process.

Other Modern Features

As if the tonal characteristics of the BOSS Waza 75 alone weren't enough, this excellent amp head also comes complete with two EFX Loops (with selectable parallel or series routing options), a Line Out with mic'd cabinet voicing, and the awesome Air Feel switch, which allows you to chaneg the sound character of the mic voicing to suit your needs. There's also a Cabinet Resonance switch, to change the sound colouration of your connected cabinet, a footswitch for changing between channels / effects, and even a USB Rec Out socket for recording directly to your computer.

With So Many Options, the Sky Is The Limit!

One of the absolute greatest features of the Waza Amp 75 is that despite giving you that awesome tube sound with enough power for any sized stage performance, it's free from the common maintenance issues usually found in tube amps. The stunningly designed architecture of the Waza 75 helps eliminate the major drawbacks associated with frequent gigging, such as vibration damage, tube replacement needs and other costly issues.

All in all the Waza Amp Head 75 provides you with an exceptional array of sounds, with a smart, modern look, housed in an amp that has little-to-no maintenance needs, eliminating stress for regular giggers and allowing them to concentrate fully on their performances.
