Enhanced Poly Mode

Taking the BOSS OC-5 even further is an evolved version of the smart Poly mode Boss introduced with the OC-3 Super Octave, allowing you to play full chords with octave effects.

Using the variable Range knob, you can restrict the effect to the lower notes on your instrument which is great for playing octave bass lines while you play your normal chords and melodies in the higher registers.

Furthermore, thanks to BOSS OC-5's newly refined tracking, you can isolate the octave effect to just the bottom note in your chords by turning the Range knob to the "Lowest" setting.

Extended Range and Octave Up

The Boss OC-5 also gives a wider octave range than ever before. Thanks to the new octave-up effect, which can be used in both Vintage and Poly modes, you can twist the +1 Oct knob up to get an octave above what you're playing.

This is great for simulating 12-string sounds, getting unique solo tones or even blending with the octave-down effects for huge lead sounds and extended chord voicings.

Guitar/Bass Switch and Direct Out
