World's First Chorus Reborn

Way back in 1976, Boss released the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble.

This was the first pedal Boss had ever released and was the world's first ever chorus effect pedal.

Three years after that, this great new sound was packed into the CE-2 Chorus compact pedal and has been a mainstay in the Boss compact pedal series ever since.

Four decades later and this incredible modulated tone is still hugely popular amongst musicians and their audiences worldwide.

Waza Craft Innovation

Being a Waza Craft pedal, the CE-2W Chorus pedal gives you a lot of options to create your unique sound.

Above the pedal switch and beneath the control knobs is a mode switch with three distinct settings to choose from.

First, you'll find the standard mode. Setting the Boss CE-2W to Standard gives you the great sound of the Boss CE-2. This pedal is known for its clarity and will retain the crisp definition of your guitar sound.

Knowing that the original CE-1 sound is still so well loved, it was important to Boss that that same great sound returned.

Sliding the mode switch to the middle position activates the CE-1 Chorus mode. This gives you a beautiful and easily recognisable chorus effect with deep modulation while retaining a mild character.

Slide the switch over to the right position and you'll activate the CE-1 Vibrato mode which gives you a unique chorus sound with strongly varying modulation.

In addition to these three mode settings, you’ll find two control knobs allowing you to further tailor your sound.

First there’s a RATE knob which allows you to adjust the speed of the chorus sound and next to that you’ll find a DEPTH knob allowing you to adjust the depth of the chorus effect. Simple yet very effective.
