New 2018 Fender Player Series Guitars Announced

The new range of Fender Player Series guitars has been announced including a range of new Made in Mexico Stratocaster guitars, Telecasters, offset guitars and bass guitars too.

All of which feature brand new pickups and comfortable modern “C” shaped necks for great playability. The new range of Fender Player Series guitars also features some brand new finishes that look stunning when coupled with either the new Pau Ferro or Maple fingerboards.

The Fender Player Series Stratocaster provides players with that iconic strat sound we know and love.

The combination of alder body with all new Player Series Alnico 5 Strat Single-Coil pickups gives you that bell-like high end clarity as well as the punchy mids and robust low end you need to stand out.

These new pickups provide a more modern edge to the overall sound, offering a new flavour to the already impressive Stratocaster sound. The Fender Player Series Stratocaster maintains that classic strat look but adds the modern "C" shaped neck for added comfort.

An updated 2-point tremolo design with bent steel saddles provides a smoother travel when playing and rock solid tuning stability due to the fact that there's less friction against the posts. Available with either Maple or Pau Ferro fingerboard.

The Fender Player Series Stratocaster is also updated this year with two new pickup configurations.

You have the Fender Player Stratocaster HSS with Player Series Alnico 2 Humbucking pickup in the bridge and two Player Series Alnico 5 Strat Single-Coil pickups (middle/neck), as well as the Fender Player Stratocaster HSH complete with two new Fender Player Series pickups (neck/bridge) and a single coil in the middle.

The bent steel saddles offer better tuning stability and smoother travel whether you're weighing heavily on the 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo or gently adding some dynamic to your playing. 

Next up we have the new Fender Player Series Plus Top Stratocaster guitars. These beautifully designed guitars feature a figured flame maple top which looks amazing with either the Maple or Pau Fingerboard.

These guitars are available with either a triple single coil configuration or with two single coils and a humbucker in the bridge, offering players not only a world of tonal options but even more finish options.

Both the Fender Player Stratocaster HSS Plus Top and Fender Player Stratocaster Plus top are available in either Aged Cherry Burst or Tobacco Sunburst. 

The new Fender Player Series Stratocaster Floyd Rose HSS is a powerhouse of tone featuring the new Player Series Alnico 2 Humbucking (Bridge) pickup and Player Series Alnico 5 Strat Single-Coil (Middle/Neck) pickups for pure power!

In addition, you have the Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo system that keeps your guitar in tune, no matter how hard you wail on the whammy bar! If you love huge divebombs and that classic strat sound, then this is the guitar for you.

Available in either Polar White or Tidepool with Maple fingerboards.

The ultimate workhorse guitar gets a slew of brand new Player Series pickups and the choice of a fantastic range of new finishes.

The Fender Player Series Telecaster stays true to the heritage of the Tele but adds a modern "C" shaped neck for added comfort when playing as well as the bent steel saddles on the 6-saddle string-through-body bridge which offers greater intonation and tuning stability.

The four-bolt "F" stamped neck plate has been added for authenticity to the rear of the guitar - a nice little addition.

A six-saddle vintage style adjustable bridge with floating tremolo tailpiece and screw in arm also offer great expression options.

The Fender Player Series Jazzmaster also includes a 3 way selector switch so you can isolate or blend the pickups as well as sealed tuning machines, synthetic bone nut and gloss polyester finish sprayed over the lush, resonant Alder body.

The classic P-Bass has been updated with the all new Player Series pickups to provide players with a huge sound, without the huge price tag.

The Fender Player Series Precision Bass features the all new Player Series Alnico 5 split single cold precision bass pickups that offer a punchy tone that still retains that bottom end you need.

A modern "C" shaped neck has been installed to ensure a comfortable playing experience at all times and the 20 medium-jumbo frets are great for any playing style or genre.

The 4-saddle bridge has been engineered to provide players with accurate intonation and easy action adjustment so you can personalise the guitar to your playing stye should you need to.

As well as this classic set up the Fender Player Series Jazz Bass is also available as the Fender Jazz bass fretless and the Fender Jazz Bass V five string bass, so players of all styles are covered.

Two growling Player series single-coil pickups have been included to offer up that legendary Jazz bass tone turned up to 11.

This is also available in a wide range of finishes with either a Pau ferro or Maple fingerboard depending on your style, but we love thisButtercream and Maple option pictured!

Those who like their offset bass guitars will love the look, feel and sound of the Fender Player Series Jaguar which comes loaded with a growling Player Series single-coil Jazz Bass bridge pickup as well as a clear-sounding, fat Player Series split-coil Precision Bass pickup in the middle position.

You have one volume control for each pickup so you can blend sounds as well as a master tone knob to shape your overall tone.

Again, a comfortable modern "C" shaped neck has been designed for added comfort and speed.
