All Valve Design

Based on the amazing HT-20RH MKII, the Blackstar JJN-20RH can take you from chiming 'boutique' cleans, to the edge of valve-breakup, on to all-out filth and back again.

Thanks to the EL84 valves in the preamp section, and Blackstar's decades' worth of valve amp design experience, the JJN-20RH offers all the response and character of a classic British valve sound combined with a fine-tuned preamp, resulting in a fantastic tonal range.

You needn't worry about being too loud to practice at home either: thanks to the Power Reduction switch, you can lower the amp's power down to just 2 watts without compromising your tone! This makes the JJN-20RH ideal for pretty much any situation.

Two Voicing Options - for EACH channel!

When it comes to valve/tube aplification, there are some apparent differences between British and American-made classics, especially in terms of tone. The JJN-20RH is here to give you the best of both, thanks to footsiwtchable voicing options for both the Clean and Overdrive sections!

• Clean Voice 1: delivers a bright, tight tone, with a solid bass response, with the tone-shaping set early in the gaine structure - this results in an American-style tone and response
• Clean Voice 2: offers a highly responsive "chime" with a looser bottom end - this gives you a characteristically British tone, that you can push into a mid-range overdrive when driven hard
• Overdrive Voice 1: this classic "British" Blackstar voicing selection produces a rich and natural-sounding overdrive, that can take you all of the way through to Super Crunch gain, but which cleans up nicely
• Overdrive Voice 2: with high-gain sounds inspired by the critically acclaimed HT Venue MKII, this voicing offers an extra-aggressive high-end, with a tight resonant low-end

ISF Tone Shaping

In addition to the standard amp tone-stack of Bass, Middle and Treble controls, the Blackstar JJN-20RH comes complete with the patented ISF control.

With this control you can adjust the response of the tone stack between a traditional American and British voicing, allowing you to fine-tune your sound like never before.

Other Premium-Grade Features

As if all of that wasn't enough, the Blackstar JJN-20RH is also home to plenty of high-quality goodies. Amongst them you'll find a newly-designed, studio-quality reverb effect; power reduction switch, allowing you to drop your power to just 2 watts; and even two different outputs for improved recording options.

The first of these two outputs is actually a USB socket. Simply hook the JJN-20RH up to your PC/Laptop/Recording Device, and you have what it the simplest way to add valve tone into your tracks.
